Properties and tracts
A property is the top-level place you own or manage. Tracts are the named areas within it. A useful structure should match the way you already talk about the land.
Create the property
From Your Properties, choose Add property. Use the everyday property name, then add its location and acreage. EverChase creates an initial tract so the property is immediately usable.
Choose a durable name
Use the name you expect to recognize years from now. Avoid temporary labels such as “new lease” or names that only one person understands.
Add useful tracts
Open Tracts from the property navigation. Add the areas that help distinguish where work, assets, or observations occur: Home Tract, North Woods, River Bottom, or West Farm.
- Prefer familiar names over formal survey language.
- Do not duplicate habitat areas as tracts unless people genuinely refer to them that way.
- Add acreage when known, but do not delay setup to perfect every number.
What to add next
Enter the tasks that are open now, then add the stands, equipment, water bodies, and infrastructure you inspect most often. Let older history enter the system when it becomes relevant.
